Grand Cayman, November 2027
Birthplace of Caribbean Diving
Clear waters, vivid coral reefs and massive underwater cliffs lured the first generation of scuba divers to the Cayman Islands. The world's first dive resort opened there in 1957, launching the dive travel industry.
Underwater adventures provide something for all interests and abilities, from introductory immersions on shallow reefs to accessible shipwrecks, famous marine life encounters, dramatic wall dives and extended-range explorations.

Grand Cayman

The beating heart of the Caymans!
Grand Cayman has been proudly showing off the underwater world since 1957, when scuba pioneer, Bob Soto, opened the first Grand Cayman dive shop. Today, Cayman is one of the top dive destinations anywhere. There are over 60 dive sites in Grand Cayman so there is almost always somewhere to dive even if conditions aren’t perfect for a few areas. Thrill-seekers from all over take the plunge at Grand Cayman.

Both the novice and the experienced get some of the best diving in the world, as environmentally protected reefs surround the islands. The secluded locale, far from other landmasses, is what keeps the oceans clean and the coral healthy. Here you’ll happen upon the most spectacular seawalls in the Caribbean as our islands rest on submerged mountains.

Whether you’re jumping in from the shore or off the side of your boat, the waters are about 80F year-round with some of the best visibility in the world.

Grand Cayman brings some of the most incredible sights beneath the gentle waves of the Caribbean Sea.
Our dive package includes a dive of the USS Kittwake, an authentic sunken American warship! The USS Kittiwake entered service in 1946 and retired in 1994. She was sunk off Seven Mile Beach to create an artificial reef for our marine friends. It's an experience you’ll never forget.

For centuries, seamen have told tales of the ocean’s elusive mermaids. In Grand Cayman, those folktales are a reality with the iconic ‘Amphitrite’, a stunning 9-foot bronze underwater mermaid statue. Located off the shore of our destination resort, they've commissioned the Mermaid to add another amazing sight to Grand Cayman’s remarkable underwater world.

More choices await after the dive. Travelers can enjoy our destination resort, fine dining, shopping, water sports and night life at an upscale resort on Seven Mile Beach.
Things to do:
Shop, Dine, and Explore!
Our destination resort is located about a mile (15 minute walk/1 minute cab ride) from George Town where there are lots of stores, restaurants and activities to fill your non-diving schedule! A complimentary shuttle into George Town is offered daily at 2:00 PM. From there you can access the public transport depot where the taxis will take you just about anywhere on Island for a nominal fee. Bikes are also available at no charge on a first come basis.

Rent a car!
Although not necessary, it is really fun to rent a car as it opens up the entire Island. The front desk staff can call a rental agency that will pick up at our destination resort and take guests to their office to rent a car.
Beaches/Watersports
Our destination resort is located directly on the waterfront and guests are welcome to dive, snorkel and swim to their heart's content. If you want a sandy beach, Smith Cove is located nearby complete with shade trees, picnic tables, and public restrooms. Our destination resort offers a free shuttle to Smith Cove daily at 2:00 PM. Seven Mile Beach is a 15 minute cab ride. Crowned one of the Caribbean’s best beaches for several years, Seven Mile Beach is an enchanting ribbon of pearly sand located in Grand Cayman’s West Bay, just north of George Town.

Explore Cayman Crystal Caves
The Caribbean Islands are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. Their Crystal Caves showcase stunning crystal stalactite and stalagmite formations. The underground caverns are located in a lush tropical forest in Grand Cayman's Old Man Bay.

Groceries and other!
If you would like to stop at the grocery store to pick up some supplies for the room, just ask the taxi driver to stop at Foster's Food Fair to let you run in. There is also a liquor store in the same shopping centre.
If you'd rather not do the in-person shopping, grocery delivery is available from Hurley's | Online Delivery & Pick-up Services, or liquor deliveries are available from https://www.blackbeards.ky/
