PADI Open Water Scuba Diver is the first step in becoming a diver. In taking this course your certification will last a lifetime and will be recognized around the world! Anyone age 10 and up can take this course. No previous experience needed.
It involves three facets of learning: knowledge development (e-learning plus classroom), confined water (pool), and open water (dive lake). In each section you will be introduced to new skills and concepts that will get you under the water on an unparalleled adventure.

Four Flexible Options to Fit YOUR Schedule
This is by far our most popular course. Therefore we offer it FOUR different ways! We strive to make it easy and convenient so no matter your schedule, you can learn to dive. Read on for details about each of the four options.

1. The Weekly Small Group:
This is the most affordable way to learn! New sessions start every week May through September. All you need is one week.
How it works is:
E-learning before the first classroom session
Monday 6:00-9:00pm - classroom session
Tuesday 6:00-9:00pm - pool session
Wednesday 6:00-9:00pm - pool session
Thursday 6:00-9:00pm - classroom session
*These four days must be consecutive in the same week.
You'll also need TWO sessions up at our diving lake near grove city to complete your open water dives. These two sessions are flexible and can be scheduled however you like. We offer sessions almost every:
-Friday 3pm-7pm
-Saturday 9am-1pm
-Sunday 9am-1pm

-Group sizes stay small to ensure lots of hands on and one on one attention.
2. The Monthly Winter Small Group
These classes are offered at various locations throughout the winter (see below). Classroom and pool work will be completed during the winter then come spring time you will complete your open water dives at our local dive lake. OR we can refer you (at no extra cost) if you wish to travel somewhere tropical in the winter to complete your training. In all cases, e-learning is prior to the first classroom session.

3. Private Sessions
We understand crazy schedules. If you can't make a small group work, that's OK. We can offer full private sessions. Whether it's just one person, or a big group, private sessions are tailored to YOUR schedule and preferences. Cost is dependent on each situation. Please call or email to get a quote.
4. Tailored-to-you
Some folks have a tough schedule. If your schedule doesn't allow you to fit into a single small group in our weekly or monthly sessions, we will fit you into multiple sessions as you are available and we have room. Because we have elearning (online) training available, you can do that portion of the knowledge development at your own pace in your own home on any smart device and then join in the classroom, pool, and open water as part of our small group option! (see above for session set up. The eLearning can offset some of the classroom small group sessions)
-registration for pool and open water required.
-Only 2 pool evenings and 2 open water days required to get your full certification!
*You will need a pre-arranged, but flexible 1 hour session at the shop prior to your pool sessions to complete paperwork and eLearning review.
