With more than 80 dive sites to choose from, even the most ambitious aquanaut couldn't take in all of Bonaire's underwater riches in a week's time.

And more than 50 named sites are scattered along the island's shoreline, giving divers convenient 24/7 access to reefs that lie just a few fin kicks away.  

The dive adventures are seemingly endless!

Beyond the water, Bonaire offers delicious local cuisine, unique and adventurous land excursions, and a lively nightlife, making it the perfect destination for a Bonaire diving vacation where every moment promises adventure and relaxation.

Things to do:

Mangrove Kayaking: One very popular afternoon excursion is a kayak tour through the mangrove lagoon at Lac Bay.   These one or two-hour paddles wind through shaded channels and clear-water lagoons in one the best-preserved mangrove forests in the Caribbean.

Hiking and Biking: The hills and valleys of north-central Bonaire offer hiking trails and bike routes, and can be a number of afternoon excursions that complement morning dive schedules.  Explore Washington Slagbaai National Park!

Windsurfing and kiteboarding: The steady trade winds that sweep over the island combine with the flat waters of Lac Bay to create a world-class windsurfing site. The pros come here to train, but beginners can also learn to harness the wind, as there are several companies that offer lessons, rental equipment and chase boat support. The same is true for the kiteboarding action that centers around a beach on the island's southwestern shore. This is an ideal place to discover the thrilling and sometimes high-flying sport of kite-powered board sports.

Don't miss the donkeys! Since 1993, Donkey Sanctuary Bonaire has been dedicated to the well-being of the island's donkeys.  Hop in your car and take a leisurely drive through our park, surrounded by curious donkeys. In the care meadow, you can meet the animals up close, cuddle them, and have your picture taken with them. A unique experience for all ages; you're most welcome!

And at the end of the day, there are a number of waterfront eateries and taverns where divers can take in spectacular sunsets while swapping tales of the day's adventures.

Our destination resort: Buddy Dive

Buddy Dive is located at the waterfront north of town, just a couple of steps from the crystal clear ocean and its many dive sites.

Built with active people in mind, Buddy Dive knows exactly what is needed to make guests comfortable both during their busy day of diving and exploring, and after.

For sunbathing in a location with the ultimate view, there’s no place better than on our raised sand beach areas overlooking the clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean. A short stairway provides easy access to the tranquil ocean below – excellent for snorkelling and swimming.

We have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments reserved!  These spacious accommodations are idea for solo travelers, couples, a group of three, two couples, or a family of four!

One bedroom air-conditioned apartments can be single or double occupancy, include a separate bathroom, living area, full kitchen, balcony or patio. The apartments are located on both the ground floor and upper floor.  Check out this 360 tour!  

All bedrooms can be configured with two twin beds or one king sized bed.

Our Drive & Dive package offers everything needed for a successful week of diving: Accommodation, daily breakfast, airport transfers, boat dives, shore diving with unlimited air and nitrox, and a rental vehicle.

Pricing above does not include airfare.  Airfare estimated at $850 round trip between PIT and BON.
