Crusty's Quarry is Scott's Scuba Service's open water training facility. Equipped with changing rooms, a bathroom, training platforms, and underwater attractions Crusty's is one of the best places in Western Pennsylvania to come diving!

What Marine Animals Will I see?

At Crusty's Quarry we have many fish you can encounter while diving! We do not allow any fishing at our quarry so many of the fish have gotten quite large and friendly. While diving you will see a lot of plant life and even some Freshwater Sponge. If you keep your eyes open you might even spot a turtle!

One of the most unique animals in Crusty's is the FRESHWATER JELLYFISH! Don't worry though, they cannot sting you. We are one of the very few bodies of water in all of Pennsylvania that is home to these strange animals. They are usually spotted in the early fall as the water temps cool off. About the size of a dime, the jellyfish float peacefully though the quarry as you enjoy your dive. Many divers enjoy filming and interacting with them.

Underwater attractions

When you slip beneath the surface at Crusty's you will find more than just fish and plants. Crusty's has many underwater attractions that make navigating through our quarry exciting and adventure packed.

Our underwater attractions include:
Multiple Large Boats (some boats are penetrable if you have your Wreck Certification)
School Bus
Cars
Platforms
Row Boats
A Pirates Cove (with a cannon and treasure chest!)
A Scuba Diver Sculpture made of Horseshoes
A Plane

All attractions have been made safe for scuba exploration and are spread around the entire quarry so every fin kick leads you towards something new!
